7-12 Morning Announcements

Friday Additions:

  • If you are driving to school this year, you must have a driving form on file in the office. Forms are on the counter. Please pick one up and return it as soon as possible.
  • Sophomores! Represent Cory-Rawson High School and discover your leadership talents at HOBY Ohio West Leadership Conference on June 9th-12th at Ohio Northern University in Ada. This conference is open to 2 Cory-Rawson sophomores each year. There is an informational zoom happening on Tuesday, Oct. 26th if you and your parents want to learn more information about HOBY. Please see Mrs. Barnhart if you have questions.
  • High School Girls Basketball practice will start Friday at 4 pm in the HS gym. JH girls will start in the Abbey gym on Wed. Oct. 27 after school

Thursday Additions:

  • Next Week is Red Ribbon Week. The theme this year is "Drug Free Looks Like Me.' A call to action to speak out in support of healthy choices. Red Ribbon Week also serves as a reminder that we are all empowered with shaping the communities around us through positivity, bravery, and strength. As part of Red Ribbon Week, we will be encouraging students to take part in Spirit Week.
    • Monday - Rally in Red - Stand Up against drugs and WEAR Red! 
    • Tuesday - Protect Yourself Against Drugs - Wear CAMO!
    • Wednesday - Friends don't let Friends do Drugs - TWIN DAY! Pick a friend or group and dress alike. 
    • Thursday - Live a long life, don't do drugs. Elderly Day - Dress like you are over 70! 
    • Friday - Drugs are a Trick, not a treat. Halloween Costume Day.

 If costumes are not your thing, Wear GREEN and Gold and show CR is Drug Free!

Wednesday Additions:

  • There will be a meeting during junior high lunch on Thursday in the old cafeteria for anyone interested in playing JH Boys Basketball this season.
  • Today we will have a Thinkfast assemby in the auditorium. All 9-12 graders will be released via PA to attend. This will start at 1pm.
  • Student Council is hosting an optional costume contest next Friday, October 29th, so start planning your costumes now! Voting will take place online on Friday and prizes will be awarded at lunch!

    • Best group 
    • Teacher

Tuesday Additions:

  • Both Student Council groups will meet this week to plan and talk about upcoming events. 9-12 will meet on Tuesday in the Upstairs Commons area during lunch, and 7-8 will meet on Thursday.

Monday:

  • On Saturday at the BVC Cross Country Championship meet, Grant Welte finished 9th to place him on 2nd Team All BVC. Hunter Foust Finished 17th. Congratulations to all of the runners. Good Luck this Saturday at the District meet at Owens College.
  • Extraordinary Explorer has several upcoming Programs on Tuesday Oct. 19th for 14 to 20 year old's that are interested in Aviation, Law Enforcement and Engineering Careers. If you would like to learn more about theses awesome hands-on programs please visit Mrs. Barnhart's Google Sites Page or stop into her office.
  • Attention all Freshman: On Friday, October 22nd the freshman class will be visiting Millstream Career Center for Future Options Day. Students will learn about Millstream's 15 programs and tour Millstream Career Center. Student will be called down to leave for Millstream after announcements and will return to CR around 10:30.
