7-12 Morning Announcements

Friday Additions:

  • Save the Date for next Friday and Saturday to see the Snow White Variety Show! A fast-moving, fun comedy that appeals to all ages! Performances are Friday, March 18th at 7PM and Saturday, March 19th at 4PM! Tickets will be sold at the door and admission is only $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for students!

Thursday Additions:

  • MANY thanks to the 7-12 students who helped to make Family Literacy Night a HUGE success! The event was featured on the Bluffton Icon, so please check it out. Remember that Right to Read Week is still going; todays dress up day is "Wild About Reading" - animal print or an animal shirt. We will wrap things up on Friday by drawing the names of a few students who dressed up all week for a free book, AND we will have some other surprise drawings, too!

Wednesday Additions:

  • JH music students will have Full Choir today, Band on Thursday, and Choir on Friday. All choirs will meet in the Auditorium for the rest of this week.

Tuesday Additions:

  • JH track practice will start on Wednesday after school. Athletes, please bring clothes and shoes for both indoor and outdoor practice.
  • Tomorrow we enter the sweet 16 of the teacher rock, paper, scissor challenge. For any student that would like to complete a bracket, they will be available at the end of the day in the main office. Brackets are do at the end of the day tomorrow and winner gets a candy bar!
  • The Marie Berry Educational Fund Scholarship applications are available in the main office. The Marie Berry Scholarship is dedicated to students who have financial need and wish to pursue a 2 or 4 year degree at a community college, accredited college, university, trade school or business school of their choosing. The scholarship is for a full time student and is renewable for up to 3 years. Applications are due March 31st.

Monday Announcements:

  • Prom is on April 9th, and tickets will go on sale starting this Friday! Tickets are $20.00 each and include a dinner. Please see the junior class officers (Madelyn, Marah, Paige and Eric) at lunch to purchase tickets and pick up guest forms. If you are not here during lunch, please email Mrs. Stockwell to make other arrangements to purchase your tickets. Deadline to buy prom tickets is March 28th.
  • The 2022 Athletic Booster Scholarship is now available. Seniors, see Mr. Scott to pick up your application. The deadline for the scholarship is April 8, 2022.
  • Dress Up Days for Right to Read Week next week - students who show the most reading spirit all week will win a free book from the Fair!
    Monday - Read a shirt day - Wear any shirt with school-appropriate words. Tuesday - Reading knocks your socks off! Wear your crazy socks. Or don’t wear any socks at all! Wednesday - Cozy up with a good book - Wear your favorite winter hat, fuzzy socks, or pajamas. Thursday - Wild About Reading - Wear any animal print or animal shirt. Friday - Monster University Day - Wear your favorite school or university colors.
  • 7th & 8th band & choir members: there will be full band on today & Wednesday next week and full choir on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
  • There will be a short Senior Class meeting on TUESDAY during Empire in the Community Room.
  • High School FCH will meet this Wednesday, March 9th during lunch time in Mrs. Bucher's room.
  • Junior High FCH will meet this Wednesday, March 9th during lunch time in the board room.
  • Congratulations to our 8th grade Spelling Bee Winner, Alex Aukerman, who qualified for the Championship Spelling Bee!
