Monday Announcements:
- Class Officer nomination forms have now been sent to all students in grades 9-12. If you are interested in running for an office, please complete and submit it by September 13th. Please ask Mrs. Stockwell if you have any questions!
- 9-12 students - Homecoming Court nomination forms have now been sent out; please check your email and vote before Tuesday so we can move on to the next round of voting. The Homecoming Court will be invited this year to ride in the Mt. Cory Sesquicentennial parade!
- Boys basketball open gym for 7-12th graders is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 - 8 in the Bob Abbey Gym.
- Congratulations to Grant Welte as he finished 2nd at the McComb Cross Country Invitational this past Saturday.
- All students in grades 9-12: If you have not yet completed the Featured Speaker preferences survey sent out on Friday, please find the link in your email and submit your preferences as soon as possible!! We want to make sure you can attend the session that is most relevant to your interests and plans for after high school, so your input is greatly needed!
- NHS and NJHS forms have now been emailed to qualifying students. They are due by 8AM Friday; please make sure to ask Mrs. Stockwell if you have any questions. If you did not receive a form and think you should have, please contact Mrs. Stockwell.
- T-shirt order forms are available in the HS office for our Tackle Breast Cancer football game against McComb on Oct. 7, 2022. All t-shirt order forms are due back to Mr. Scott by Monday, Sept. 19, 2022!
Tuesday Additions:
- Today is the last day Class Officer forms will be accepted. There are still open spots for freshman, sophomore and junior officer positions. Homecoming court ballots will be sent out today and will be due by 8AM tomorrow so the court can be announced. Dance tickets are 10.00 each and will be on sale in Mrs. Stockwell's room before and after school every day. If these times don't work for you, please email her. If you are bringing a non-Cory guest, please make sure to get a form from the office.
Wednesday Additions:
- Next week is spirit week!! The dress up days are as follows:
Monday- Class colors (7th - Yellow, 8th - White, Fresh- blue, Soph- orange, Jun- pink, Senior- black)
Tuesday- Favorite team/jersey day
Wednesday- PJ day
Thursday- Senior Citizen day
Friday- Green and Gold Day
Sign up sheets for games during lunch are hanging in the hallway by Mr. Mertz room! Don't forget that the spirit week is a competition between classes!! The winning class will get a free t-shirt! Points are earned by participating in dress up days, participating in the games, and also winning the games!! There is also a sign up sheet for minute to win it games which we will play before the bonfire on Thursday next week!!
- Students that drive....please remember on foggy mornings like this morning or any morning that you have your windshield wipers running, please makes sure to have your lights on!
Thursday Additions:
- Seniors - send pictures of your painted parking spot to yearbook@cory-rawson.org.
- Seniors are selling raffles tickets for a chance to win TWO Ohio State football tickets to the October 1st game vs Rutgers. The Raffle Drawing will be Friday evening the 23rd. Seniors KEEP SELLING your tickets!

- All students in grades 9-12: check your email today to complete the survey for next week's Featured Speaker session! Or, ask your fourth period teacher where they have it posted. Choices need to be submitted by 1:00 Monday to ensure you can attend the session you would like to.
