Each year, the Northwest Ohio Consortium of Coordinators for Gifted (NWOCCG) offers a scholarship award for gifted students across Northwest Ohio. The scholarship is presented to applicants who demonstrate a strong passion or interest in a specific area. Students must demonstrate that passion through an essay describing how this award will help support or enhance their passion and include specific details as to what they will spend it on. This year, six applicants were selected from 25 entries across Northwest Ohio, and Cory Rawson Schools has one student selected as a recipient.
Tobin Foust is a sixth grader who is passionate about weather. He will use his award to buy a weather station and more books to study weather. Congratulations to Tobin!
