7th graders in the first semester THRIVE class jumped into the Shark Tank today, pitching their inventions to our sharks. This is a culminating project for the class, which focuses on skills from our Portrait of a Graduate such as communication and collaboration. #HornetStrong

No better way to start your day than with a dance-off! Our CRES staff and students had fun today learning about leadership, respect, and kindness from Jim “basketball” Jones!

Charlotte loves the library and is rather certain she was the model for the cover of one of our books! More importantly, our students really enjoy reading to Charlotte and discovering books with her by their side. #HornetStrong

College Credit Plus (CCP) Night
Any interested 7th-12th grader (for the 2023-2024 school year) and their parents/guardians are welcome to attend Cory-Rawson's College Credit Plus (CCP) Night on Wednesday January 18th at 6pm in the Elementary Cafeteria. Representatives from The University of Findlay, Owens Community College, and Rhodes State College will be in attendance to answer questions following a general overview of CCP.
Each year the state requires students and parents to attend a meeting to learn or review information regarding College Credit Plus. It is important to attend if your student plans to take college classes next year and/or plans to attend Millstream in one of the CCP option programs. The following Millstream Programs offer College Credit Opportunities: Automotive Technology, Business Essentials, Computer Networking and Cybersecurity, Computer Programming & Software Engineering, Culinary Arts, Engineering and Design, Health Professions, Media Productions & Visual Design, and Teaching Professions.
Please contact Bethany Barnhart, School Counselor, if you have any questions or are unable to attend the meeting.

Today, we held our school spelling bees. Congratulations to junior high runner up Noel Yeboah and champion Cain Keuneke! Elementary runner-up is Rory Walters and champion is Caleb Baumunk. #HornetStrong

Cory-Rawson students benefit every day from the leadership and vision of our school board. January is School Board Recognition Month, so take time to thank these dedicated school leaders. #SchoolBoardMonth

Congratulations to Bentlee and Cole for being the winners of this year's 3rd Grade Santa Suit Design Contest! #HornetStrong

Winter break is here! Students return to classes Monday 1/2/23. Wishes to all for a safe and enjoyable break, a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! #HornetStrong

Our second graders brought joy to the residents of Willow Ridge retirement community in Bluffton Wednesday, singing Christmas carols. Great job CRES students!!! #HornetStrong

We were thrilled to hear from the 36th Combat Aviation Brigade in Kuwait as they were the recipient of a Christmas tree from Kaleidoscope Farms and ornaments made by CRES students through Operation Evergreen.
Maj. Kimberly Spires shared, "We were all shocked and couldn’t believe it was a real tree! A group is Soldiers began putting it up right away and our Commander put the homemade star on top! Although we miss our families terribly, especially this time of year, receiving support and even gifts from people back at home means so much!"

The CRHS jazz band provided the soundtrack for this morning's Hot Chocolate with a little Jazz. Thanks to the band and Mrs. Davis and to Mrs. Price and Mrs. Gerten for delicious toasty beverages to start the school day! #HornetStrong

Our staff carolers visited Mount Cory this evening to spread holiday cheer! #HornetStrong

A big thank you to these students, whose group at Mt. Cory United Methodist Church raised over $487 for books to donate to Cory-Rawson's library in memory of Officer Dominic Francis. In addition to books requested by students, titles were selected related to sports nutrition, exercise, and notable athletes. This helpful and meaningful contribution will live on in our library for years to come! #HornetStrong

We're bummed that Mrs. Glenn is ill and thus, was unable to direct the choir at last night's concert. We're appreciative that Mrs. Meyer (Mrs. Glenn's mother and retired CRHS choir director) was able to help conduct the performance. When it came time for the traditional "Hallelujah Chorus", during which alumni are invited to sing, it became an unexpected special moment for both alumni and Mrs. Meyer! #HornetStrong
