Cory-Rawson Local Schools was selected to be a Pilot School of the "Ohio School Wellness Initiative." Partnering with Miami University to explore, implement, and sustain a full continuum of care including prevention, early intervention, and treatment practices for K-12 students, Tier II/III supports, and staff wellness frameworks. Our Hornet Strong Staff Wellness Team has been busy implementing best practices to support staff wellness, professional resilience, secondary trauma prevention, resiliency, self-care/self-compassion, efficacy/confidence building, and mental/physical health. October's focus was on finding ways to "Bee' a team, "Bee" a peer, "Bee" a family, and "Bee" kind. Our staff enjoyed a morning of 'Coffee & Pastries,' encouraging one another, and having FUN making caramel apples.
