The Cory-Rawson Education Association received a Reading Opens the World grant to provide free books to children in our district, many of which were picked up during Family Literacy Night. This initiative included the children at YMCA Early Learning Center at Cory-Rawson!

John & Barbara Deeds shared that, "it is a joy and a privilege to be a part of the Cory-Rawson community and we feel fortunate to be able to give back to the school through the Cory-Rawson Green and Gold Foundation.".
John’s family is deeply rooted in the Cory-Rawson community. His parents, Frank and Miriam (Bormuth) Deeds graduated from Rawson High School in the 1930’s and John and his siblings (Jan Reese and Tom) graduated from Cory-Rawson. John and Barbara's three children (Kevin, Deanna Sweazy, and Ryan) are Cory-Rawson graduates.
John’s dad taught vocational agriculture at Cory-Rawson for 29 years and both Barbara and John were employed by Cory-Rawson - John as a part-time custodian and Barbara taught second grade and kindergarten for over 30 years.
