The Environmental Science was able to finally enjoy the deer meat they processed earlier this year. To say the kids enjoyed all the food was an understatement! Students around the building had the opportunity to get their first taste at venison, if they desired! Thank you Ben Smith for helping cook and supplying the shop!

The Environmental Science enjoyed the warm weather by going on a squirrel hunt with Mr. Parkins and his dog Hazel. The class was able to watch and learn how dogs are a valuable tool to hunt squirrel.

Two CRHS student designs were selected as winners for the Ohio Art Education Association Youth Art Month Flag & Graphic Design contest! Students used their new skills to create designs based on the theme, "Dream In Art." The contest is open to all high schools in Ohio. Each teacher is able to submit two designs. CRHS winners include: Edy Jawhar - 2nd Place (Graphic Design Category) Caleb Goldsberry - Honorable Mention (Flag Category)

Tara C. Welch Smith ('94) is a member of the inaugural class of inductees to the Cory-Rawson Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame. Tara is currently a Professor of Epidemiology at Kent State University and has studied at Yale University, University of Michigan, and University of Toledo. Tara pioneered the investigation of livestock-associated strains of MRSA in the U.S. and is widely published and interviewed. #HornetStrong

Mark Brumbaugh, an experienced trapper (53 years) from the area, presented to the Environmental Science class by explaining the importance and reasons that animals are trapped. The students were able to see how various traps worked, the process of preparing the fur for use or sale, and the important history of the area. Thank you Mark, for your dedication to our students!
